Criminal Records
The Escambia County Sheriff's Office (ECSO) serves as the primary record unit for the county. It receives and maintains offense reports, booking prints, arrest reports, crime statistics and other types of records. It also processes public requests for records as well as local criminal history background checks.
Members of the public can obtain offense reports, mug shots, arrest records and card reports by logging into the department's online records request center and filling out a form. First time users will need to create an account. Interested parties can also obtain public police records by contacting the Sheriff's Office Public Records Department.
Who Can Obtain a Public Police Report?
Records may be exempted for release if it jeopardizes an individual's right to privacy. Records may also be exempted for if they:
- Include information that may deprive a person of a fair trial or disclose investigation techniques
- Include information that may endanger the safety of a person or witness
- Identify juvenile information
- Include confidential information
- Identify victim information
How to Obtain Inmate Information in Escambia County
Records of inmates currently held in county jail can be found using an online inmate lookup service managed by the county. Escambia County Inmate Records provide general information, such as the subject's name, jail status, booking date, booking number and the amount of bail.
Interested parties can obtain records of individuals held in state correction inmate facilities by submitting an offender information request to the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC). Requests must include the subject's full name and DC number (number issued by the FDC) if known. Request for active inmate records should be submitted to the institution holding the subject, while requests for inactive inmate records can be made at:

How to Find Sex Offender Information
The FDLE maintains a public database that contains information on sexual predators and sexual offenders in Brevard County and the rest of the state. Residents can search for offenders using the platform. Searches can be filtered by address and neighborhood. Requesters can also conduct university/campus searches to find registrants working at or around an academic institution.

How to Obtain Divorce Certificates
Records of divorce decrees granted in the county can be obtained by contacting the clerk of court at:

Interested parties can also obtain divorce verifications of decrees granted in Escambia County at the Florida Department of Health Bureau of Vital Statistics. The office manages records of divorces granted from 1927 till present. Reports of recently filed divorces may take up to sixty days before they are included in the record.
Written requests must include a signed letter or application that provides the full names of the spouses (as at the time of the divorce), the date of the divorce, and the city in which the divorce was granted. Completed applications should be sent with a money order or check for the applicable fee to:

How to Obtain Birth/Death Records
Certified copies of birth and death records can be obtained from the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County. Requests can be made in person at Fairfield Service Center, 1295 West Fairfield Drive. The office opens between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. from Monday through Friday. Records can only be issued to the subject on record (birth records), immediate family members or legal representatives. The department charges $11.00 for the first copy of a birth record and $10.00 for each additional copy.

The Escambia County Property Appraiser maintains Escambia County property records. The agency is responsible for creating, indexing, and warehousing an online property records catalog that is easy for members of the public to gain access to. The appraiser’s office maintains a threefold online property record search portal that makes it easy to retrieve property records online. The Escambia County Clerk and Comptroller maintain physical property records for Escambia County including Records of documents such as deeds, mortgages, and plats. How to Look Up Escambia County Property Records
Interested persons may find Escambia property records online using the online property search portal maintained by the County Appraiser. Users may search through three search points; Real Estate Search, Tangible Property Search, and Sales lists. The search points can be searched via the following search criteria respectively:
- Real Estate Search: select an option to get results for exact criteria filled or results for properties similar to the search criteria provided, location address, owner name, 16-digit reference number, 9-digit account number, complex name, parcel search. an advanced search can also be carried out under this search point by providing the following information; property status, assessment value, approximate acreage, geographic area, property use (dor use), sales, sale price, sale date, zoning, and description of improvements including - building attributes, the heated area between, property size in square feet, year property was built, improvement type, structural, elements, and extra features.
- Tangible Property Search: conduct this search by inputting the following information: account number, business or owner name, site address, NAICS code.
- Sales List: This can be searched by inputting the following information into the search - sale date, sale price range, subdivision name, improvement status, qualification status, property use (DOR use).
Property records may also be accessed online through the property lookup tool maintained by the county clerk. Users may search for property information by providing the street address or the parcel reference number.
