Compared to 2019, Miramar City experienced 50% more burglaries in 2015, 31.5% more cases of larceny-theft, and 62.5% more arson cases. The only crime that increased from 2015 to 2019 was vehicular theft.

Visitors must keep all cell phones and electronic devices switched off and secured in a locker. During visits, all visitors must remain in the visitor booth and not walk around the video visitation area or switch visitation booths. The visitation center prohibits loud talking, excessive emotionalism, any type of disruptive or suggestive behavior, and expects visitors to respect each other’s space at all times.
